Kurs i arbetsrätt 1. Om kursen 1.1 Bra att ha i åtanke under kursen

Welcome to the wonderful world of labor law and leadership!

This course is aimed at those of you who work as a manager or work with HR and support managers in their everyday lives.

This is partly a course but also your labor law encyclopedia.

You can choose whether you want to read the course from the first page to the last or go from section to section depending on what is of interest at the time. However, I can recommend that you who work as a manager actually go through all the sections in order to have a good overview when specific issues arise in your employee group. For example, it may be useful to know when one of your employees is entitled to time off due to the serious illness of a family member when this is requested.

Law is the study of the interpretation and application of legal rules. Law is very rarely black and white, there are many gray areas around what is right and wrong. This is because the legislator, through a law, for example LAS, draws up the starting points and then leaves it to the courts, which through judgments that become practice and determine how different dimensions of a situation are to be assessed. Some of that practice is found in the sections.

The course is not intended to be exhaustive legal advice on an individual case. It is important to bear in mind that it is often necessary to talk to a lawyer when tricky issues arise in the workplace. Not least in situations that may involve a risk of damages, such as dismissals and various types of misconduct. Contact us feel free to contact us when questions arise.
